  • December 27, 2010 at 3:03 pm

Gigi asked her face book friends for help in finding a date from hell, since it has been mostly her dates she’s written about lately, and for once she was stumped in finding one to write about. She received this one from Dina, who clearly remembered a date where everything went wrong. Instead of short and sweet, it was long and hellish!! Nightmare Date #37: It wasn’t a REAL crime I went to prison for!!

  • November 23, 2010 at 9:58 pm

It is a total wonder that Gigi still finds the energy or hope to continue dating online, with all the nightmare dates she has been on, or has narrowly and luckily escaped. When she begins to talk to a new man, and he asks her how her online dating experience has been, Gigi has to try very hard not to snort out loud or succumb to a Gigi version of Turrets. What does drive her to the point of screaming is when the man tells her that she sounds simply wonderful, and then dares to ask the most exasperating question of all: Why is a woman like you still single? Arghhhhh and blegh!!! Really? Seriously? Read on, and you will see just why Gigi is single!! Nightmare Date #37: It wasn’t a REAL crime I went to prison for!! – continue reading…

Nightmare Date #36: Jean-Claude and the date that never was

  • October 31, 2010 at 1:24 am

Can a nightmare date last over two months, and only be a nightmare for the last three weeks? So that the first wonderful few weeks end up looking more like a nightmare disguised as a fantasy? Gigi feels as though she has just woken up from a long dream, nay more like a coma. She was hopeful that Jean-Claude might be the one, but he was just another one to fool her romantic longings, and hopeful dreams. In the end, he was like most of the men Gigi has met along the way: all talk and no show. All big dreams and fancy words in the beginning, and too crass and crude at the end. All glitter and no gold. No substance. Mere whisps that fizzled away to nothing, so that one is left wondering why they ever thought there was actually something there. Nightmare Date #35: Too much too soon

  • October 15, 2010 at 7:36 pm

Kelly sometimes has the same terrible luck that Gigi and Helen have in dating. She tries just as hard as they do, gives men chances, goes out on lots of blind dates, trying to find that gem among men, only finding trolls and toads. Nightmare Date #35: Too much too soon – continue reading…

Nightmare Date #34: In my car? Are you nuts?

  • October 1, 2010 at 11:55 pm

As always, Gigi’s friends on face book come through for her when she needs help answering a question, or coming up with stories. Shannon is one of Gigi’s friends met only on face book and never in person, but one whom she will hopefully meet one day, and she just might have to run away and visit her in Florida soon. Shannon is British, and seems to have the same bad luck in online dating that Gigi and Helen have had. Here is her story in her words on a nightmare date!! Nightmare Date #34: In my car? Nightmare date #33: Frick and Frack

  • September 25, 2010 at 1:50 am

Last week our nightmare date was one in which Sassy’s, Buffy and Muffy went out on a double date with Frick and Frack, two Latino brothers that they sometimes hang out with. What made it a nightmare was the fact that they brought their dad along, which made the whole “fun” part of the date rather strange!! Sassy just laughed when she heard the story, and reminded them of the last time they went out with them, when they swore up and down that they would never ever go out with them again. Oh how many times do we say things like this, and not follow our excellent advice later on? Nightmare date #33: Frick and Frack – continue reading…

Nightmare Date #32: Double date from hell

  • September 19, 2010 at 4:47 pm

What is worse than a date from hell? A double date from hell!! Gigi has never been on a double date, although she has often thought about it. At least during a double date, you have your friend with you to either enjoy it together, suffer through it together, or be there to help you get out of it together!! I think that being on a double date might even make things easier on the people involved, by decreasing the stress that can be a part of the date. Nightmare Date #30: I’ll take the waiter instead please!!

  • September 4, 2010 at 2:37 am

When Gigi doesn’t get a nightmare story from a friend, she can always find one from her past!! How sad is that? Then again, that might bring her money one day if Gigi and Helen ever get published!! Now not all the dates in these categories are true nightmares… some are just a seemingly never ending date, where you wish you were anywhere but there… even a root canal at times seems like a better place to be!! Nightmare Date #29: Crushes

  • August 29, 2010 at 10:28 am

Here is this week’s nightmare date from Amanda, a poet friend of Gigi’s who is single, and still has not found the one. It is not your typical nightmare date, in that it was a date that went wrong. it is more like a date that didn’t go where Amanda wanted it to go. How often has that happened to people out there? when there is someone you really like, but they only see you as a friend? That must be one of the worst things in the world… Gigi had a guy like that, her Belleville dad who only ever saw her as a friend, whereas she would have taken him home and never let him go!!
