(Today’s title has been brought to you by Brandon)

Gigi just didn’t understand men. She didn’t know why she even still bothered trying. How could one ever figure out what made men tick? Why they do the things they do… Do they even know themselves? Gigi’s friend Ana told her just last week that men have two heads, and invariably think with the wrong one. How true… Adventures in Dating: Gigi – Part XXIV – continue reading…

Gigi and her Gentle Giant… no, not a fairy tale, but yet another horror story

“Fee fi fo fum, I smell the blood of Gigi’s new man…” Gigi shook her head in dismay, thinking that her life was the very opposite of a fairy tale. Other women met Prince Charming. Or princes disguised as frogs. Gigi met Prince Nightmare. Or trolls and monsters, disguised as princes. Adventures in Dating: Gigi – Part XXIII – continue reading…

When Gigi Went Without Sex for Two Months

It all began the night Gigi first went out with her blonde bombshell twins, Helen and Heidi. She’d been texting the whole crazy conclusion of the evening to her sweet and sexy Bellevue Dad Chad. “I really wish Heidi had picked you tonight, and you were sitting here with me, instead of Jerk Thing #1 and Jerk Thing #2. What was Heidi thinking? You are such a total sweetheart, and not like these rude, crude jerks.” But Heidi had left Chad all alone that night, after a few hours of serious flirting with him. She had begun to flirt with someone else, and so Chad had left, quite unaccustomed to being abandoned for another man. Gigi had watched him leave, sadly, thinking to herself that she never would have let him walk away. Adventures in Dating: Gigi – Part XXII – continue reading…

Gigi and double trouble

As Gigi walked up to her twins, she was holding Fred’s hand, and she saw with surprise that her twins were on either side of… Chad, her Bellevue Dad!! How the heck had he found them? She felt a slight twinge of jealousy. He had never looked at HER that way. Now if you remember, Chad was one of the men who always made Gigi feel good, because he was always there to flirt with in the clubs, and since they never took it to the next level, there was never any disappointment. Dating Mr. Brown, three of them! Or a la tercera va la vencida (third time lucky)

Gigi had tried men of many different nationalities, races, and religions, in her search for true love. Never let it be said that she didn’t give love a serious try. And yet none of them had ever worked out. So her next foray into love was in unknowingly picking three men with the same and very common last name of Brown. Three Mr. Browns!! It could only ever happen to Gigi, so why was she even surprised at this point in her dating life? Amazingly enough they were all named Brown, although only one of them was actually brown in skin tone. Adventures in Dating: Gigi – Part XIX – continue reading…

Gigi and her girls. No, not that kind of relationship!! Just friendship…

Now Gigi might not have much luck with men and love, but she was blessed in one area: her girl friends. Gigi had always been lucky enough to find some of the best female friends possible. It was almost love, could have been love, should have been love!!
“You are everything I never knew I always wanted”

That line from “Fools Rush In” could be the motto of Gigi’s life while in her 40’s. How strange that one day she didn’t know that HE existed, and then suddenly there he was in her life, and she didn’t know what she’d ever done without him. Or what she would do without him once he left… Adventures in Dating: Gigi – Part XVII – continue reading…

Girls Night(s) Out A.K.A Soul Food

With tears streaming down my face, I opened the door to greet a smiling, sparkling Gigi. Gigi’s smile immediately fell into a sympathetic frown, as I continued crying and told her, “It has been yet another time of Gideon going with his father and not wanting to. It begins on Wednesdays when it is his weekend to have him. Gideon begins saying, ‘No Jonah, mama. I want to stay with you’ Heart wrenchingly, I dig down deep and remind him of how much fun his visit will be and that he will also get to see his grandma and grandpa. Vini vidi vici We came. We saw. We conquered. Or the start of a beautiful friendship.

Now Gigi has told you all about her best friends Kelly and Susan, and you’ve read some mentions of Mary. She has not yet told you about her newest friend, Helen. Gigi has only known Helen for a little over a year. At first they were merely colleagues, but they soon became extremely close friends, especially when they began to discover that they had one thing in common: their crappy luck in dating.
