Pay for it? I don’t think so!! Believe in whatever you tell me? Oh no way!! This chapter is about two men Gigi met, who lied to her in several different ways, expecting her to just believe them, and take their word for things. At least they were dates that were never real dates, and so were not a total waster of Gigi’s time, nor did they threaten to hurt her in the slightest. You can’t be my boyfriend!!

After five months of terrible dates, Gigi wrote a poem, on the type of man who could NOT be her boyfriend from now on. I thought it would make the perfect introduction to the new chapters spinning around in her head. This is how Gigi felt in May after too many bad dates that went absolutely fricking nowhere. Introduction to the many WTF/OMG chapters

Gigi took a break from men and dating, trying to clear her head. She took an even longer break from writing about them… because after 30 chapters of writing about all that wasn’t working out, let’s face it, Gigi got quite discouraged. To take her mind off of being alone and man-less, she began a blog on dating and relationships with her friend Helen. They wanted something different: a blog with real stories on dating, with real advice, with opinions from men and women, so as to try and disperse some of the dating myths. They even got many male opinions on the different aspects of dating and relationships. Their blog soon took off running in January, and now in August keeps them very busy, and does quite well traffic-wise and comment wise (adventuresindating.net for a shameless plug!!). And yet, when Gigi returned to dating, way sooner than the spring time she’d originally planned on, she soon realized she was still as thoroughly confused now as she had been a few years ago. The Second Half of Christmas

As Gigi’s twelve days of Christmas drew to a close, she couldn’t help wondering what lay ahead for her. It had been quite a year, 2009, not as heart breaking as 2008 had been, with the unforgettable David, but still filled with ever so much disappointment in the male department. As she kept notes on everything that happened each day, Gigi realized just how much fun writing a blog website would be, just like the one in the recent and true movie “Julie/Julia” in which the main character writes something every day about her cooking experiences. Gigi could do that. She could write about her feelings on dating or lack there of. Gigi never lacked for words. At times she might not feel like writing, but she never lacked for words!! The Twelve Days of Gigi’s Christmas: the first six days

The twelve days of Christmas in the popular song are not the days leading up to Christmas Day, but are actually the 12 days after, starting on December 26th (Boxing Day or St. Stephen’s Day) and ending on January 6th (Feast of the Epiphany). Brie suggested that Gigi should write a special version of her twelve days of Christmas, and see what happened during that time. Gigi decided that she would keep her friends updated, by making her face book status mention those twelve days of Christmas and that she’d write about what each day brought her. She actually got quite a few comments, and of course, more material for her book. At this rate, Gigi will have to share the proceeds of her book with many of her readers, especially with Brie, who has given her so much help with lines, titles, and future chapter ideas. Lying to get laid

Gigi seemed to spend her life these days thinking that she’d seen it all and heard it all. And yet, it never failed. Just when she thought nothing else could shock her, she always found something or someone to prove her so wrong, that she wanted to simply run to her laptop to write it all down before she forgot how she was feeling. This time it was a mutual shock, to her and her partner in dating crimes, Helen. Last week Gigi had told herself that she would help screen Helen’s men from now on, so that Helen wasn’t fooled by a man again. Surely Gigi could screen someone else’s man better than she screened her own men? Gigi was always biased or blind about her men, especially if they affected her senses, making it impossible for her to see past the physical effect they had on her. After the last few months that Gigi had spent, trying to believe in men from her past who came back to her, meeting new men she all too quickly lost trust in, and seeing shit rain down on most of her friends (Oh no, here comes Gigi’s mami with the bleach to wash out her mouth), she was soon ready to give up again. She was almost convinced that she should just become a lesbian. She really loved her female friends who were always there for her, and never let her down. Brie and Helen felt the exact same way. Gigi was sitting on the steps of her front porch. It was a cool, yet sunny December morning. And she was waiting. Waiting for the one who was coming back into her life after a five month absence.
