Heart, we will forget him
a poem by Emily Dickinson
In the last 20 something years, Gigi has had to get over serious heart ache a few times in her life. When she has loved deeply, and lost, she tends to wallow in sadness for a while, crying and listening to sad songs, and writing sad poetry. When she has lost someone whom she thought she cared about, but realized at the end, that it was just a fantasy, then it was much easier to move on. Such is the case with Jean-Claude. He was never real, just a figment of Gigi’s hopeful imagination. He was never whom she thought he was… so getting over him is a piece of cake… and Gigi already has her eyes on someone new (and is it mean of Gigi to hope that Jean-Claude is reading this?).
