Favorite Romantic Book #39: Svetlana’s choice

  • January 13, 2011 at 10:09 pm

Gigi has known Svetlana since she was in kindergarten, and now she is a woman in college… OMG indeed!! She has been asking to accept her on face book and to know the address of this blog, but it still seems weird to Gigi that this little girl is now a woman, in all the sense of the world…. hmmm wonder if she would share that story here. A new blog: how I lost my virginity? lol Maybe not… or should I?

Favorite Romantic Book #38: Charlie’s choice

  • December 21, 2010 at 8:44 pm

Gigi loves it when her friends bring up unknown writers or songs or movies. Charlie gave her a new author to explore… “My favorite book is something funny, like something by Terry Pratchett”. Gigi had never heard of him, but will be sure to read his books over the Christmas break. Favorite Romantic Book #38: Charlie’s choice – continue reading…

Favorite Romantic Book #37: Tina’s choice

  • November 18, 2010 at 6:45 pm

If you have been reading these blogs, you will know that many of them come from Gigi’s old high school friends from Spain. It is wonderful finding them again on face book, and reliving old memories… and having them comment on my dating blog questions!! Tina is one of my latest additions to face book, and she has shared a few answers for the blog. This week I am sharing her favorites… they are not all what Gigi would consider truly deeply utterly romantic, but romance is not the be all and end all. (Can you tell Gigi is off dating again?). Favorite Romantic Book #36: Ana’s choice

  • October 26, 2010 at 8:32 pm

Ana and Gigi have never met in person… yet they are friends on face book, and Ana is a huge fan of Gigi’s story. They have a good friend in common, someone from Gigi’s past, who has appeared in a few of her chapters. One of these days, Gigi and Ana are going to get together and celebrate being Latina women!! Favorite Romantic Book #35: Gigi’s choice

  • October 9, 2010 at 11:23 pm

Angel and Leroy did not give me a favorite romantic book or poem, but it is never hard for Gigi to find examples of these. Sometimes the book is also a great movie, as is the case with this choice. Favorite Romantic Book #35: Gigi’s choice – continue reading…

Favorite Romantic Book #34: Amy’s choice

  • October 1, 2010 at 5:05 pm

Amy was one of Gigi’s room mates when she was in college, and they used to practice speaking Spanish together, as well as the usual college things of partying and lots of drinking!! They reconnected a whole ago (on face book of course), and Amy contributes to our blog every now and then when a question strikes her fancy, and she was kind enough to share her favorite romantic things with us. Favorite Romantic Book #33: Rose’s choice

  • September 23, 2010 at 10:13 pm

Funny how you can know someone for years, and not know your tasted in things are so similar. Who would have thought that Rose had such classical tastes in movies, books, and poetry? Gigi grew up in Europe and received a classical British education. Rose grew up in Michigan, and had an American one. And yet they both love the classicals… first in movies, and now in books (and in the next blog post, poems too). Favorite Romantic Book #33: Rose’s choice – continue reading…

Favorite Romantic Book #32: Marc’s choice

  • September 19, 2010 at 9:53 pm

When Gigi asked Marc for a romantic book, he named one of Gigi’s favorites. Technically it is a book of poetry, and one that brings memories that are both happy and sad at the same time… from a time long ago that she doesn’t let herself think about too much… one of the lost loves of her life. Thankfully Gigi is happy these days, so those memories are not quite as sad as they used to be. Favorite Romantic Book #32: Marc’s choice – continue reading…

Favorite Romantic Book #31: Winnie’s choice

  • September 10, 2010 at 6:51 pm

Winnie definitely has a different opinion of romance than Gigi, but in truth, one can find romance in almost anything. While the book Winnie chose is not a solely romantic book, it does have some romantic moments int it, I think… and not where Golem lusts after the rings!!
