Gigi has not posted a poem in quite some time, but here is a poem from one of her favorite local poets, Soltreu. They met on face book, have talked at poetry events, and have shared some stories. Poem #50: “Cautious” by Soltreu Garrett

Gigi tends to jump into love with both eyes closed, and her heart in her hands… after a year of not such good luck in love, she decided to be more cautious. Well, it worked for about a minute. When her new man introduced her to his father, stepmother, sister, niece, AND his best friend, all in a space of two days, she threw caution to the wind, and began to fall.
