Guest Writer #115: “Lawnmower Boy Vs. The Sex Therapist” by Eric Leech

  • September 30, 2011 at 1:24 am

She was a 45-year-old sex therapist, and I was a 26-year-old college student (a.k.a. Lawnmower Boy). For a 20-year-old woman to date a 40-year-old man on various dating websites, is not a big deal. However, swap genders, and suddenly you have a recipe for sharp whispers, long stares, and family upheaval. Continue reading ‘Guest Writer #115: “Lawnmower Boy Vs. The Sex Therapist” by Eric Leech’

Guest Writer #112: “Meeting the right sort of men, or the wrong sort…” by Katie Syles

  • September 30, 2011 at 12:29 am

I recently met someone new; it was 3 weeks ago to be precise. Meeting a guy in the real world and not via a pre-constructed tedious internet dating set up seems to be a bonus these days. So when I meet someone for real, and we start getting on, I instantly feel a little bit more attracted to them. Especially if there’s wine involved to boost my confidence and curb my inhibitions. Guest Writer #111: “Somebody’s Watching Me…”

  • September 30, 2011 at 12:05 am

As has been consistent through most of my life, I have quite a few male friends. Actually, I have far more male friends than I do female friends, and stronger, more loving and trusting friendships to boot. Most of these wonderful male friends of mine also happen to have girlfriends, wives, long-term cutty buddies, basically, some woman who lays claim to them romantically. I fully support my boys in their relationships with their women, especially if they’ve chosen well. However, in many situations, I find myself under the watchful eye of said women, and to be honest, it irritates the bejeevus out of me. Guest Writer #110: “What about what YOU need?”

  • September 20, 2011 at 10:09 pm

I tend to attract unavailable, undesirable, off-limits type men. This probably sounds like the vast majority of women because, let’s face it-these types of men are usually hitting on some of EVERYBODY just waiting for someone to say yes…especially the unavailable and undesirable. What do I mean by off-limits though? Well, I tend to have men who are already in relationships and not challenged enough by one woman or men who are fresh out of relationships with women I know personally, be it in passing or as part of a true friendship who try to make me the next girl. Now, clearly, I’m not going to date someone else’s man, but let’s talk about that second part-the man who has broken up with someone I know personally.
