I remember when I started noticing the people around me start to have kids, far too early for my taste. I was a younger woman then, still an undergraduate in college. At that time, I made it clear that I wasn’t interested in dating a man with children. I didn’t have children of my own, and for good reason-I wasn’t ready to HAVE any. I had enough trouble being responsible for myself. Keeping up with school, work, chasing the wrong man, family obligations, student leadership, and still having a little time to breathe myself left me no time to worry about the needs of a child-never mind the fact that I wasn’t married. No husband, no kids. I knew that if I were to date a man with a child, it would be hard for us to find time for each other with my already busy schedule and whatever schedule he’d have to keep with his child.

Gigi has been missing in action for some time, but she is back now. She just needed a few months to lick her dating wounds in private. She is still thoroughly confused by men and dating, but as always, she is willing to keep going. She is still hopeful that somewhere out there is a man who doesn’t lie, knows what he wants, and won’t take what she has to give and then disappear without a word or explanation. Gigi has not had much time for her blog in the past few months, what with work, dating, and lately moving into a new home. But she is now single again and after taking a short break from the online dating nightmarish world, she is ready to try again. Gigi can never stop dating for very long, and has some new stories to share: some incredible scary, some sad and some funny, and some WTF happened stories, as men simply disappear without a single word after a few seemingly wonderful dates!!
So I’ve been on the computer all morning, looking for personal advice on dating, so that hopefully I will meet no more crazy psycho stalkers, no more players and liars, and no more men who say one thing and mean another. And if she is successful in this, she will be very happy (and rather amazed and discombobulated!!).

Gigi has rejoined eharmony to see if the men there are better than those on plenty of fish!! So far she is only talking to one man, and there are set to have ice cream this week. But this one is already way ahead of the plenty of fish men she has talked to: he has a house, a car, and a job, and can afford to pay for ice cream!!
