The two most common settings for a first date are a coffee shop and a restaurant. We all have to eat, right? So why not use our penchant for pigging-out to stage a get-to-know-you? At least that seems to be the idea. But when you’re asking someone out for the first time, you need to weigh the pros and cons of each type of eatery to determine which one will offer not only the best chance for a positive reply, but also which might help you to set up a second installment. Guest Writer #75: “Seasons, Reasons, Lifetimes”

I long ago came to the realization that I simply have a lack of patience. I’m the type of person who will fill a shopping cart, stand at the end of a long line until I’m hot and my feet hurt, then push said cart into a corner and walk out of the store with nothing. I can’t watch commercials on TV anymore. During commercial breaks, I play with my cell phone and likely end up forgetting what I was watching in the first place. Similarly, I have a hard time waiting in Love. I’ll wait forever for the guy I want if I know he’s coming, but how do I know if THIS one is actually COMING?
