Gigi once saw a movie, Good Luck Chuck, in which every time that the actor ends a relationship with a woman, she finds the man of her dreams and gets married… so that women begin wanting to date him thinking he will bring them good luck. At times, Gigi feels like she is the female version of this!! Is she Good Luck Gigi?
It seems as though lately when she stops dating a man, he finds the woman of his dreams!! Last weekend, she actually went to the wedding of such a man… Gigi and Oscar remained friends after they stopped dating, and he was soon very happily involved with Wendy, and all too soon engaged.
Gigi has to admit to a few moments of envy when she first saw them together. She was never truly, madly, deeply in love with Oscar, even though at the time he seemed perfect for her. Yet he was meant to come into her life for a very important reason: to start her writing about her dating life, and to begin this blog…
Oscar is the one who set up this blog, and even gave her the idea for it, and he is the one who got her started on writing her Gigi stories. For that alone, he will always hold a special part in her heart. They remain good friends, and hopefully always will.
The minute she saw him with Wendy though, she saw how happy and in love he was, and she was happy for him. They have combined his two son and daughter and her son, and today they became a family, at a picture perfect Sunday afternoon wedding. They were married outside, at a beautiful country club, by the edge of the golf course. The reception was held inside. It was a very touching day, with not that many people, but very intimate and special.
Gigi sat with friends that she and Oscar have in common, Camille and her husband Cole, who were the very first successful couple that Gigi wrote about. Camille is a writer and poet, like Gigi and Oscar, and they had a very pleasant time at the wedding together, admiring the clothes worn. Gigi wished she had a date, but she never seems to have one of those when at a wedding these days.
Gigi wishes Oscar and Wendy all the happiness in the world. They have been together for over a year, soon falling in love, and getting engaged, and if happy looks are enough to go by, they will surely have a wonderful marriage together.
