Wow… Gigi at times gets ideas for our blog, and then asks herself what took her so long to come up with them!! We’ve been writing this blog for over 7 months, and loving every minute of it. Every now and then we have guest writers pop into our blog life. Some come and go, and some stay. I am really hoping that Dimonique Boyd comes and stays for a very long time. Poem #32: “Sweetly and Scandalously yours” by Gigi Flores

  • August 23, 2010 at 12:13 am

Gigi was writing another poem for her Jean-Claude, and he asked her to write a naughty poem. Julian once asked her to write a naughty story about them, and yet she couldn’t. This request was easier to follow… anything for her Jean-Claude. Gigi read this poem to a fellow poet, and he said that it wasn’t really naughty or dirty, that Gigi was able to turn even four-letter words into elegant and meaningful ones. His opinion means a lot to Gigi, since he is an amazing poet. She posted the poem on face book, and got a few compliments on it. Wonder if she’d have the courage to read it out loud? Gigi loves this category on poetry. She has so many poems to post from local Detroit poets, and just wishes that she could post more than one a week. She will never run out of poems, since there are so many great ones to choose from. A few months ago, Gigi posted one by Elle W. Ford, whom she only knows through face book, but hopefully will meet one day in person. Here is another great love poem by her. Continue reading ‘Poem #31: “Let Me” by Elle W Ford’

Adventures in Dating: Gigi – Part XXIX

The Twelve Days of Gigi’s Christmas: the first six days

(Today’s title is thanks to Brie)

The twelve days of Christmas in the popular song are not the days leading up to Christmas Day, but are actually the 12 days after, starting on December 26th (Boxing Day or St. Stephen’s Day) and ending on January 6th (Feast of the Epiphany). Brie suggested that Gigi should write a special version of her twelve days of Christmas, and see what happened during that time. Gigi decided that she would keep her friends updated, by making her face book status mention those twelve days of Christmas and that she’d write about what each day brought her. She actually got quite a few comments, and of course, more material for her book. At this rate, Gigi will have to share the proceeds of her book with many of her readers, especially with Brie, who has given her so much help with lines, titles, and future chapter ideas.
