Favorite Romantic Vacation Spot #18: Mexico

Amanda’s final choice for the romantic category was to choose Mexico as the place for a romantic vacation getaway. She lives nearby (lucky!!), and it seems as though they go there quite a bit.
Now I’ve never been to Mexico before, but it is very high up on my list of places to go to, as all the other 17 places chosen by my friends in the past few weeks. Gigi needs a lot of money, or a rich man, or for her and Helen to find a publisher interested in reading our book…

Now Amanda didn’t give as specific place in Mexico, so Gigi googled it all, and came up with these photos and places for suggestions on where to go. My father lived in Mexico for a few years and loved it, so it comes highly recommended.

Here is what I found on the internet about Mexico:

Mexico travel information and vacation guides. Discover the facinating world of Mexico. There are several hidden treasure just waiting to be explored. Ancient Aztec pyramids, authentic foods and fantastic shopping. Whether you’re looking to visit past civilizations or simply lay on the beach and work on your golf game… Mexico can accommodate.

Acapulco remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico, and for good reason. Visitors from around the world flock to Acapulco each year seeking beautiful beaches and crystal blue waters of the deepest azure. Recreational activities abound in Acapulco as well, with everything from deep sea fishing and scuba diving to tennis and golf competing for the attention of the visitor.

Acapulco offers an exciting adventure for every type of visitor. If you like round the clock activity, you can find in Acapulco. If you prefer a more relaxed, serene atmosphere, one of Acapulco’s luxurious resorts can provide you with a secluded environment in which to unwind and let the world drift by.

The resorts of Cabo San Lucas beckon to anyone planning a luxurious beach vacation. Both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo offer scenic beauty, wonderful beaches, crystal blue water as well as every imaginable amenity for the discriminating traveler.

Known collectively as Los Cabos, the twin resort destinations of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are some of the largest resorts in Mexico. Los Cabos is actually divided into three distinct areas. The first is San Jose del Cabo. San Jose del Cabo is a beautiful city full of lush tropical palm groves and quaint meandering streets. This town has retained the look and feel of a colonial village. The San Jose del Cabo of today is a town of some 30,000 residents, featuring a fabulous Municipal Palace, charming restaurants with private courtyards, boutiques, shops and a wonderful tropical estuary. Compared to the bigger and more touristy Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo is a bit more laid back.

Cancun is many things to many people. To college students on spring break it is a week long, 24 hour party hot spot. To honeymooners it is the perfect romantic getaway to start a life together. To outdoor sports enthusiasts, Cancun is the perfect
place to catch some great waves, go parasailing or dive in the clear blue ocean.

From ancient ruins to beautiful beaches, Cancun has something for every visitor. Indeed, it would be hard to design a destination with better natural beauty, archeological riches and man-made attractions. No matter what you are seeking from a vacation, chances are you will find it in Cancun.

Any takers? I’m in, and I know Helen would run off here with me in a heart beat!! Now for the money… cuz who cares about the men? We’ll have each other, and hot Mexican guys (even if they will be too short for Helen!!)
