Gigi stories are coming back…

  • May 27, 2010 at 10:47 pm

I decided last week to start writing my Gigi stories again. I had stopped in December when I reached 30 chapters because the editor of Troubadour 21 asked me to stop posting them on T21. Instead he created this blog for me and Helen. I was intending on writing Gigi stories and putting them here, but first I wanted to post chapters 1-30. Then I found that my time was taken up by writing all the short little blogs here. Continue reading ‘Gigi stories are coming back…’

Poem #10: “The man I’ve not yet met” by Gigi Flores

  • May 27, 2010 at 10:46 pm

Gigi has been bitten by the poem bug. Hard!! I used to think I was a story writer, but ever since I began looking for love poems to post here, I began feeling this urge to write my own. I used to years ago in college, and I’ve always loved reading poetry. So I wrote a poem making a female version of Rickie Gavin’s poem last week. Then a few days ago, Rickie and I wrote one together. And today a sweet and simple poem about the man I have not yet met… I know it sounds like the latest song by Michael buble, but it is how I feel, and it was so easy to write. Success Story #18: Amanda and Eddie

  • May 27, 2010 at 10:45 pm

This week’s successful story is on Amanda, another old high school friend of Gigi’s (yes, I now, how many of these does she have on face book? Answer; several hundreds, and some whom she never even knew back then, but they had friends or teachers in common, and just the shared experience of growing up in Mallorca, Spain!!).

Amanda shared her story about her life with Eddie. With all the heart break that Gigi has experienced and seen, it is always wonderful to hear that there really ARE some happy couples out there, who have been together for a very long time. Continue reading ‘Success Story #18: Amanda and Eddie’

Nightmare Date #18: Beware long drives

  • May 27, 2010 at 10:45 pm

Some people will do a lot in their search for love. It is not only Gigi who will drive long distances to meet a man for the first time. A close friend of mine, Alisa, did just that last week. Now I am not telling women or men not to do this, but just be aware that what sounds great on the phone can be just downright terrible in person when you finally get to meet!! Favorite Romantic Book #18: Amanda’s choice

  • May 27, 2010 at 8:01 pm

Amanda is definitely choosing things that Gigi had not thought of, heard of, or remembered in years. I think this summer off (God, I love being a teacher!!), I will go back through all these favorites and make a list of things to read, watch, and listen to… as well as recipes to cook. Top “Ten” #18: Things to do on a date when on a tight budget

  • May 27, 2010 at 7:52 pm

This week’s top ten was inspired by Brie, and is really the life story of Gigi, since she always meets men with no money!! Doctors and lawyers are not for her. Which is ok, since Gigi is not at all materialistic. Still it would be nice to find cheap things to do that take you out of the house. So here are some ideas on what to do if you have little money and still want to go out on a date!! Continue reading ‘Top “Ten” #18: Things to do on a date when on a tight budget’
