Okay, I know that I said I would be more likely to respond to a man if they wrote me an email. However, this guy is an example of one that I would run from…and shall remain anonymous because I almost feel sorry for him… Continue reading ‘Example of a bad email from match….’
Match.com… to wink or not to wink… that is the question….
Alright, for any of you who have ever gone through the whole dating website experience, raise your hand if you think it is all ridiculous. You? Oh… and you sir? Yes… me, too. I honestly think that I have several strikes against me. First of all, I think that people are actually going to look like the pictures they display on their profiles. (Please read Adventures in Dating: Helen’s Stories (Look under the Our Stories tab). I am not pointing out a specific chapter because 90% of the time, I have experienced meeting men who look nothing like their picture. Okay, perhaps if you squint your eyes, tilt your head and knock a few tequila shots back, it looks like them. However, most look as though they have taken their old yearbook photos and photo shopped them into their profiles. Continue reading ‘Match.com… to wink or not to wink… that is the question….’

Poem #1: Facebook by Sean Galvin
Helen and Gigi went to a writer’s workshop last weekend, and met a lot of interesting contacts. They also heard some great poetry, which made them think of starting a section here for poems. Gigi and Helen feel that they write that way too, Continue reading ‘Poem #1: Facebook by Sean Galvin’
Ann Arbor through Gigi’s eyes!!
Helen is right… Ann Arbor was a blast, and we all saw it through our own rose-colored lenses!! I think my favorite part was also leaving Ann Arbor, and my being totally unable to find the right highway to go home. By the time we got off the darned highway for the third time, I was in tears of laughter. So much so that I was crying and couldn’t see where I was driving. thankfully Sophia, who was NOT amused, took over the driving and soon had us going in the right direction!! Gigi: Week of April 12th
It is now April showers bringing May flowers, with enough sun peeking through to give Gigi a good tan. She prefers to date when she is tan and not pale wintery white! She is still refraining from dating… new guys that is. She is still hearing from Darrell, Eric, and John… all of whom have had one to two dates. So she feels like she has someone to talk to, keeps her toys for company at night, and for now life is ok.
