Friendship is the most important thing… ever

I read a wonderfully true thing today in the book “Whitethorn Woods” by Maeve Binchy that I just had to share with our readers:

“We remained friends for a lifetime. Love can come and go, but friendship survives. Friendship is better than love in a way. It is more generous. You don’t obejct if your friends have other friends, you even encourage it. Happy Easter!

Easter is one of my favorite holidays, with signs of new life everywhere. As a child, I would wait on bated breath for Easter morning. We would get up and hunt for eggs and find our baskets with those we loved the most… family. As the years went on and my siblings went to college (we have a large Catholic family), the egg hunting stopped and eventually not even Easter baskets were given out. I couldn’t believe this… and began a tradition about seven years ago where I hid the eggs. Continue reading ‘Happy Easter!’
