It’s almost Spring Break!

  • March 30, 2010 at 8:45 am

Well, it’s almost Spring Break. Gigi and I are getting ready to send our query letters out to agents and get our book published! Please think positive thoughts for us!
As for the rest of break, we plan on spending as much time together and with our three most important men in our lives…our sons! Oh, and perhaps we will finally visit one of our favorite fans at her Home Depot and “scout” for some research material…..

Favorite Romantic Meal #10: From Boris’s Kitchen

  • March 29, 2010 at 9:10 pm

Gigi remembered that Boris likes to cook… especially Spanish food from where they grew up, so she was expecting a delicious recipe from him. what she got instead was just as nice and sweet. Continue reading ‘Favorite Romantic Meal #10: From Boris’s Kitchen’

Favorite Romantic Books #10: Boris’s choice

  • March 29, 2010 at 8:32 pm

Boris’s last category is on his and Melina’s favorite books. It was not the top on their list of things to do together.

Books, not so much. We’ve done the poetry books, but they turned out not near as fun as the Letters to Playboy. Now making time for both of us to enjoy reading together, on the couch, on the patio, at the beach, etc. is very important, and usually a big part of our vacation time–just not the same book (although sometimes by the same author, like Clive Cussler).

Guess not everyone is a book worm like Gigi and Helen. I’ve met few men who liked to read, which is too bad… a well-read man would be ever so nice!!

Favorite Romantic Movies #10: Boris’s choice

  • March 29, 2010 at 8:03 pm

Boris has a romantic soul, and he shared his and Melina’s favorite movies, along with some comments… Boris is a writer at heart too. I think Gigi and Helen might have to ask him to write some blogs for us from the male point of view… I always love reading his comments to my blog questions. Favorite Romantic Songs #10: Boris’s choice

  • March 29, 2010 at 6:58 pm

Boris really came through for Gigi this week, sharing all his and his wife Melina’s favorites. As always, it is nice having a male point of view to share with our readers. Men can be just as romantic as women, as some of our stories are showing. Continue reading ‘Favorite Romantic Songs #10: Boris’s choice’

Favorite Romantic Vacation Spot #10: Bed & Breakfasts/Cabin at a Lake

  • March 29, 2010 at 6:47 pm

It seems as though many of the contributors to our blog are people from Gigi’s childhood in Mallorca, Spain. Those years were very important to all of us. Now, thanks to facebook bringing us all together, after so many years apart, we have become friends at a distance, offering each other friendship, help, advice and support. Gigi is grateful for all the help they give her on her blog. Continue reading ‘Favorite Romantic Vacation Spot #10: Bed & Breakfasts/Cabin at a Lake’

Most Romantic Date Ever #4: Gabriela and Miguel – Part IV

  • March 29, 2010 at 5:34 pm

Hooked on the story yet? Gigi is… she is purposely not reading the next parts until it is time to post them. She knows how the story ends, but wants to read about how it got there, week by week along with our readers. So far, we have not heard from “Miguel” so we do not know if he is aware that “Gabriela” is writing their long ago story. Continue reading ‘Most Romantic Date Ever #4: Gabriela and Miguel – Part IV’

Adventures in Dating: Helen – Part X

Helen’s First Love, Continued

While the waves crash into the shore, my eyes begin to droop as the lullaby of the waves nearly rock me to sleep. I can’t help but feel the old ache in my heart coming back, as I sit by the sea and look out over the big, blue water that seems to go on forever. Although it’s been ten years since that misty night so long ago, as each wave crashes, it seems to bring with it an old memory of the love that I had with Andrew. I think of him sometimes, but here, where we used to frequently vacation and where we grew up playing side by side, the ache is almost unbearable. How Gigi lost David

Isn’t it strange that Gigi doesn’t have one single photo of David and her together? Not one photo taken of them in the six months that they were in each other’s lives. Not as bad as Rose in Titanic, when she remarks that she doesn’t have a single photo of Jack. Continue reading ‘Adventures in Dating: Gigi – Part X’

Toys for the Lonely #3: Honey Bunny

  • March 29, 2010 at 9:52 am

Ever had that day when everything goes wrong, and you just want to get home, jump on top of your man (or woman) and vent your frustrations on his (or her) very willing body? Well, Sassy had one of those days last week. Unfortunately, there was no man waiting home for her… but almost as wonderful, was a box waiting for her.
